hi , I am training for a marathon at the end of june so have around nine weeks to go . I have used many different brands over the years with varying degrees of satisfaction but I have to say these are the best I have ever had . I held off writing a review until now because I wanted to see how both they and I would hold up after a few long runs and as the rating suggests the runners are brilliant. when I tried them on first I was a little worried because they felt so light I thought they might not give enough cushioning,but with a twenty mile run and just over sixty miles in this week I am really happy with them . most of my miles are on tar but I also run in woods and on grass ,no problems . last but not least they are great value for money ,coming in well under some of the other brand names .it is hard to believe just how light they feel but are built to go long

Hell for leather
I've owned a pair of these for three years, worn them 6 days a week and they are still going strong. Their versatility means they can be worn for the cycle commute to work and then worn throughout the day; they are shoes and not 'trainers' after all. I used to wear walking boots because they are comfortable and last for years, but I do more driving as well as cycling these days and the Five Tens are much better for both - actually quite a good driving shoe.

Waterproof qualities are good, providing the correct treatment is used. Grip is superb without compromising longevity and the sole is pleasingly rigid.

I have also used these on country walks, on occasion, and the combination of light weight and comfort with rigidity and water repellency was great.

The soles on mine are now smooth and the inside has worn through the fabric lining at the heel, but given the amount of use they get and the fact that they were a very snug fit to start with, this is not...
