Fantastic wellies at a great price

I love my new wellies and they have the added bonus of being loads cheaper than Russell and Bromley!
NB Hunters seem to be quite small fitting so I'm normally a 5 to 5 and a half shoe and the size 6 fit me perfectly.

These wellies are a bit pricey but definatley worth the money,i was a bit worried that they may be too tight as i have quite a wide foot,however they fit fine and can be worn with thick welly socks no problem.As they are so comfy i tend to find that i wear them whenever its raining,i find driving with them on is also no problem.I purchased these wellies in the gloss finish which looks really good on.

Welly Boot on Steroids
I was going to get the Hunter Sovereigns as Amazon do them relatively cheaply, but I kept on reading negative reviews about Hunter quality generally, so didn't feel like wasting my money. Anyway, after quite a lot of searching I decided on these and am very pleased.

Straight out of the box they just feel big, solid and purposeful. They're an inch or so higher than my last wellies, but what you notice right away is the chunkiness of the sole and the thickness of the neoprene lining. When you put them on, it's almost like walking in slippers, so cushioned is the sole.

The thick neoprene lining gives extra cushioning and also insulation for those cold winter days when you might be out for quite a while.

They just seem like a different league compared to normal wellies and must be much more value for money than the much more expensive leather lined boots you see.

Can't fault 'em, excellent value
I bought my first pair of Aigle Iso Parcours boots in 2002 because I wanted a thick sole and a warm waterproof boot. They were really put to the test on the wild west coast of Scotland, being worn for dog walks at least twice a day. After about two years the rubber on the top of the foot started to perish and leak. I returned them, by post, to the vendor who replaced them without question. They even sent a smaller size by request. (I did find the sizes ran rather large.)

Nine years on I still own and use the replacements, although less so these days, and they remain comfortable, supportive, warm and in good condition. They are a good alternative to walking boots if you know you're going to get wet.

Thoroughly recommended.

Great Wellies, but
They really are still the best quality rubber wellington boot available for the money. The calf width of these boots is just about wide enough for the SLIGHTLY wider calf. I found the boot a little too narrow over the arch of the foot. So, if you are only SLIGHTLY wider in the calf or foot then they will fit, but wont take a decent sock.
If, like me, you are somewhat wider than average, dont bother. I was disapointed that I had to return mine as the only other Hunter boot suitable is the Ladies Huntress but only available in full length and those rotten original Hunter colours. So, please Hunter designers, make the Huntress available in the shorter length, in lovely colours and with the same Huntress calf and foot widths.If you did I would have a pair in each colour, promise!

Nice but don't last!
Bought these in November 2011 and loved them, much admired and comfortable BUT they have now split along the toe area and are letting in water and this is only August 2012. I expected them to last a lot longer for the price! I notice they are meant to have a years guarantee and so am waiting to hear what can be done in terms of replacing them.

I walk about 1 hour per day - dog walking on muddy and wet ground and am so disappointed. Wish I had just bought cheap 'disposable' boots!
