First of all, I was quite fit and walked a lot before I got these, and I wear trainer type shoes anyway, so the comfort and benefit elements were less apparent to me than to other reviewers. Also my feet are very wide due to burgeoning bunions, and the fitting isn't exceptionally wide, so I had to stretch them with shoe trees, but they were fine after that. Be careful if you have sensitive Achilles tendons, as with many similar shoes etc, the back is high and cuts in. I had to stretch this part of the shoe as well (gosh my feet are useless). However, once I got over all this, they do make your legs work a bit more, and I enjoy walking in them.
The manufacture strikes me so far as being of very good quality, the soles are hard-wearing (I've done 60 miles in less than two weeks, and I can't see wear) the uppers are more firm than standard trainers, and the laces are brilliant (there is a choice between grey and pink on this model) as they don't come undone easily. I am getting into...

Just what I kneed!
Not sure about the workout claim but the extra shock absorbency of the sole reduces the impact on my arthritic knees to minimal and the 'rock' factor helps to strengthen the knee aligning and stabilising muscles to further reduce inflammation... they look good too!
