Most comfortable sandal ever but I received men's kahuna's twice!
These are slightly different from my old faithfuls with the addition of extra support between the front and rear straps, otherwise they're identical. I've been wearing mine as soon as it's warm enough for the last 8 years! Not only are they great to slip on for general wear but they make a fantastic sports sandal. I've hiked in them, cycled in them, clambered over rocks on the beach....the vibram soles just last and last and protect against even the sharpest rocks and despite being made of vibram they're quite flexible unlike a hiking boot or trail shoe. You can get them wet but as they're leather I recommend hosing them off and letting the leather dry naturally. I've had operations on both my feet and these are virtually the only Summer footwear I can wear for any length of time. Without them I'd be lost! The adjustable front and top straps are great and as the leather will stretch over time you can keep on wearing them with a simple adjustment. I've tried alternate Merrell sandals...

Wow!
Gorgeous boots that are made very finely. They arrived very quickly and were very well packaged.
Unfortunately my calves are rather round and so they didn't fit (I think the elastic is there more to allow comfortable movement than chubby calves).
Was very disappointed but Horsaholic were very swift in their response to me for returning them and the refund was processed impressively quickly too.

Would highly recommend these boots (to individuals with normal sized calves, that is!)

These boots are amazing!! Really good quality simply beautiful. I have a small calf and they fit perfectly around this area as some boots can be bulky on me. They were a bit stiff when i first put them on but after wearing them for a couple of hours they have softened up and are breaking in nicely. I dont ride, purchased them as a fashion item as I wanted a riding boot style and these look a million dollars worn over jeans or leggings. Cant say enough about how fab they are! definatley recommended!

I have had the 991, 992 and now these 993 GLs and would not consider any other shoe for my needs. They are comfortable, supportive, relatively non-sweaty and they last for ages. Having wide feet and a high instep, the 2E fitting works perfectly for me in the 8.5 size (although I am usually a size 8 UK) so you may want to go the extra half size up when ordering.

Very hard wearing shoe
I'm so happy with this shoe, it has lasted runs and walks, on road and off road, in door and outdoor. It really takes a hell of a beating.
Seems very comfortable. I find support is limited when venturing off road on loose terrain, but still completely possible, but then again that shoe was really made for the track I guess.
Made in the UK so obviously its going to be better quality than the standard far east shoe, and buying it shows support for unionized labour.

Great shoe, highly recommended!
