Flexible, wide fitting.
These are great wellies if you have a wide foot & high instep. Unfortunately I don't & could easily have gone down a size. However I've kept them & put a very thick insole inside.

Another reviewer mentioned the tight calf. I must add that these wellies are similar material to a scuba wet suit & very flexible. Yes they fit tight around the calf but they're meant to. They stretch to whatever your calf size is. After a few wears they mould to your exact calf shape. Not a true walking boot.
Smart looking boot, great for round town and maybe taking the dog for low level walks in the park. Wet grass would be no problem as the Gortex lining is very reliable, feet will stay dry.
From the moment these boots arrived they were very comfortable- straight from the box. and waterproof as claimed, tested them on a beach walk with tide coming in, they got well soaked but never let water in. Next day after shaking off the sand they looked as good as new.
Now comes the downside. completed a 12 mile walk in the Matlock Peak district, up and down hill and dale all day long. The boots are great on low level flat walking but hopeless when it comes to climbing. Ankle support is non existent even though I pulled the laces a little bit tighter to get a bit more support from them, ankles ached at the end of the day. also had a bit of back ache next day so they probably don't do much for your posture either. Biggest problem was toes rubbing when descending steep hills, the boots...

Looks like a womens shoe
On arrival the leather had an almost pinkish hue. These are probably nice trainers to wear but the styling ruled them out for me immediately.

Excellent hiking shoes
Firstly, with any shoes you need to be careful. These are actually an odd sizing. So, they seem to be sized around 2 sizes bigger or something like that. But, I am cautious as my other North Face which are 10 fit like an 8.5/9, I am 8.5 so fine. These I brought a smaller size (7.5) and they seem 9. Compared to my other North Face sandals 8.5 they are two sizes bigger all seems very odd. I think I have just been lucky that they all fit. Well, I would have sent them back if they didn't.

Anyway, the boots are solid and ideal for long hikes and also the uphill climbs. Very robust boots and snug, they fit perfectly considering I am a 8.5/9. You can abuse these boots and they will still come out fine. I didn't have to break into them, they were a good fit first time round. Thy are heavy, but very strong.
