Men's shape ups
Wow, talk about walking on water, these are the trainers/shoes to get if you have any foot problems, wish i'd bought some years ago. Value! i'd say they are worth every penny you pay, not like some trainers which charge excess just to plug the name of the manufacturer. Brilliant.

Extremely comfortable!
These are very comfortable to wear and walk with , although if you are not used to shape-ups you may find them a bit awkward to walk with. After a few steps you'll definitely get the hang of it (speaking from personal experience). The color scheme is quite nice, nothing too flashy or too dark ( I got the brown/black version).
They do improve your posture, and will add some height too. As for their longevity, that remains to be seen. Overall very pleased with them (though they are a bit bulky compared to my other sneakers), highly recommended.

Great shoes
I've had my pair for two weeks now, fantastic shoes. I wear Vibram Fivefingers or Merrell Trail Gloves most of the time outside work and was looking for something to replace the horrible, heavy and clunky shoes/ boots I wear for work. These are soft & supple, polish up to a good shine and look like work wear.

In my job I walk short distances on railway ballast at least a couple of times a day and the soles have stood up to this well, not even a scratch or cut in them. Plus the upper hasn't been damaged as happened in a short time to my last pair of boots - I put this down to walking lighter and being more aware of where I put my feet instead of crunching heavily into the ballast.

The sizing is the same as the Merrell Trail Gloves which are starting to be available in the High Street, so check them out for size first, I've found I wear half a size smaller in barefoot shoes compared to most other boots and shoes.

First Impressions
I ordered these on Wednesday, received them on Friday. Service doesn't come much better than that!
First impressions are very good. These shoes are incredibly light and feel really comfortable straight out of the box.
I bought these to give my other Merrells (style "Spin"-see link) a rest. I have had those 6 months and they have rarely been off my feet.
The "Tough Gloves" are just as comfortable but fall more into the "smart, casual" category.

Seem like good shoes
These seem like they would be very good shoes, and were exceedingly comfortable on the sole, but unfortunately the upper was far too tight, and I have very small, size three, feet. I thought I had ensured enough safety by buying a bigger size, but they still don't fit across the top of my foot. They had to go back, I'm afraid.

Comfy straight out of the box
Received these yesterday and went for a 5 miler in them this morning. LOVE them!

Really comfy, they do fit like a glove, very 'hugging'. I got my normal size as a few reviews said they were long in the toe and they are just right. I would suggest going for the larger size if you are between two sizes.

I usually run in zem gear shoes, about as close as you can get to barefoot running. These merrels still allow me to run properly, with a natural forefoot strike, but have a thick enough sole to protect from stones. Great for very rough terrain and longer runs but I will be sticking to my other shoes when I can as I like to be able to feel the ground.

The reason I didn't give 5 stars is that these shoes have good arch support. Not uncomfortable, but it did feel wierd arter running without andy for so long. I think a minimalist/barefoot running shoe should allow your foot to support itself naturally.

But still, very comfy, no rubbing, blisters or...

fit like a glove
I ordered these shoes after having read about barefoot running. I read lots of reviews on all types of shoe available before settling for these one. I have to say that I definitely made the right choice. I found these shoes incredibly comfortable. The first few times I went running in them I had some ache in my calf muscles, I guessed from the change over in shoe type, but after that perfect!

The Lightest GoreTex Version.
I have had a pair of NF Hedgehogs for the last 2-3 years and have loved them - more comfortable than similar offerings from Merrel and others. The only reason I bought this pair was because the tread on the sole was wearing away - but given how much I have worn them, I think they have lasted very well.

These are slightly lighter than my previous pair and initially they feel stiff, but they soon loosen up and feel very supportive. I have proper walking boots for hard terrain, but inevitably I come back to these, when walking around the Sussex Downs and further afield.

The main feature is the use of GoreTex, which allows then to be breathable but waterproof - which is essential in this kind of shoe. Anything else in this kind of cross-trainer meets walking shoe, is just going to mean soggy feet and an unpleasant walk.

The other big selling point is the sole - which is very grippy and feels like it can deal with any kind of slippery surface well. I was...

wow, these are probably the most comfortable shoes i own. when you walk you can feel the cushioning on the bottom of your feet. and the grip is fantastic. they are well put together and im sure are going to last me for years to come. im confident i wont be falling on my butt when the snow arrives this year. buy them, they are brilliant.....
