Better then Foundation 10
I didnt wear these shoes but my brother in law that I got them for said they were great and nice and light. He knows these shoes well as he has worn the no 8, 9, and 10 models aswell and found the 10 model not great and raved about the 8 model as the best and most durable. But he did say that these were as good as the 8 model. On the Asics front I would highly recommend their shoes as top quality, great value , long life and so comfortable.I use Asics all the time and have 4 pairs of them at the moment from hiking to running shoes and cant fault them at all. Great shoes comes at a price and it so important to take care of your feet as posture relies so much on your shoes and how they effect your feet..

For flat feet
These trainers are excellent running shoes for those who may be quite flat-footed and require more support to their feet when running. I previously had used some cushioned running shoes though after a while I was getting some pain in my it-bands and in my feet, though after a medical diagnosis I switched to these and would not turn back. They are noticeably firmer on the foot than other shoes have been and they keep my feet nice and straight when running.

I have only used them for running on a treadmill so far and therefore cannot comment on how comfortable they would be when road running.
