Good all rounder for moderate hiking.
I wanted a pair of reasonably priced boots for moderate use as I don't hike as regularly or over as rough terrain as I used to. These are comfortable and warm from the off but you'd be better ordering one size larger. The leather appears good quality and the sole grips well, though the latter's rigidity is not in the same league as top range boots. Overall pleased and so far so good.
Update 18/12/12: Two years of regular use (local hills and trails, dog walking etc) and the leather uppers are still in excellent condition. The soles aren't the very toughest but are reasonably durable and still have quite a bit of wear left. Their grip on snow and ice is amongst the best I've come across.
Just bought my second pair and would still definitely recommend this Italian manufactured boot.
Grisport Peaklander: Excellent Shoes
Bought this just over a month ago and have worn them through wet weather, all day casual use, motorbike riding (all day) etc and have been extremely satisfied with them. Took about a week to 'break in' but after that, have been VERY VERY comfortable.
