The Inov-8 295 is a trail running and walking shoe with high levels of comfort, breathability and performance. The patent pending Fascia-band aids propulsion efficiency of the running cycle. Good underfoot cushioning makes the 295 ideal for hard surface tracks and trails as it keeps your feet protected and cushioned.

Perfect for Trails (Mid-foot Strikers Only)
I bought these after I got a pair of Inov-8 Road X 233s for the road. I needed a pair of off-road shoes for trail running around the forests up here. The 295s are light, very flexible, and comfortable on and off road. I've just run my best ever 5K in them today, on their first outing.

One word of warning, though - they are designed for runners with a mid-foot plant. Those with a strong heel strike will need to convert to a mid-foot strike to get the most out of these shoes; indeed heel striking will probably lead to sore legs! If you already have a solid mid-foot plant, or want to develop one, these running shoes, and all Inov-8's shoes, are very highly recommended.

Inov 8 Rocklite 295
I used to run in Salamon Speedcross and found them excellent, especially in mud. However they wore out too quickly and the upper parts would tear. I have two pairs of Inov 8 and find them a better fit (Salamon come out too narrow for me)and more comfortable. They are light and have the same heel/toe differential as Salamons. The Rocklite 295 shoe is more suited to drier cross country terrain and so far I am pleased with them
