My wife's best friend
Iv'e owned these crampons for over three years now and can only praise them. We spend 5-6 weeks a year in The Cairngorms and walk 5 to 8 miles a day. For the last couple of years we have had to have these fitted for most of the time and they have never let us down. They go over our Muck Boots and walking boots and are easily fitted, best done sat down but can be done stood up. We live at the top of a hill and used these for walking the dog last winter and even to walk to a Mozart concert, worn over dressed up shoes. One thing, make sure they have the spikes pointing down, sounds obvious but everything is hard at -20DegC! They are great for sheet ice, mixed ice and snow, snow and short distances between ice flows, and slippy hillsides. There are limitations- they are not full crampons and this becomes evident crossing steep slopes so we have full front pointers for mountaineering. The quality and durability are excellent. Snow Spikes
Wonderful invention. Good for medium to heavy snow fall and ice. They don't easily slip off, as the cheaper types might. Very pleased and assured that I'm not likely to fall down and break a bone or two. Not cheap, but much less costly and more convenient than having an accident.
