Details of the item Salomon Speedcross 3 Trail Running Shoes - 8

The Speedcross 3 combines light-weight, performance fit and an aggressive outsole to create an off-road racing shoe that excels in the worst of conditions. Race-ready, amazingly comfortable, ultralight trail shoe with aggressive tread for grip on soft, slippery terrain. There has been many changes to Speedcross 3, differentiating it for the Speedcross 2. The forefoot has been reduced by up to 50 percent, meaning that you are lower to the ground and will hopefully gain a much more controlled ride. The heel is also wider on the sole area, giving a greater contact surface which is altogether more stable. In addition, the Quicklace slider has been reduced in size, and so is the 'garage' pocket, meaning that weight is down and the stowage is now more compact.

  • 3D Advanced Chassis - Controls shoes twisting motion. Flexes under the heel to absorb shock and provide stability.
  • Sensifit - Actively cradles the foot to ensure a secure and precise fit for maximum stability and a secure fit.
  • Quicklace - Minimal and strong one hand, one-pull tightening lace that secures shoes quickly and provides good stability and support. For a more customised fit.
  • Contagrip - Outsole blends several different hardness combinations of Contagrip rubber for the perfect mix of grip and durability across varied terrain.
  • Ortholite Sockliner - Ortholite foam and EVA heel cup creates a cooler, drier, healthier foot.

We have already done the research and spent lots of time to givethe best offer for you. Whenever you have any doubts, you could see anything they say about Salomon Speedcross 3 Trail Running Shoes - 8.

One of the best trail shoes around
I had these bought for me as a gift and at first was sceptical. Having tried other Salomon shoes such as 3D ultra which I hated and use only for gardening I gave them a try.... What a shoe!! Lightweight, plenty of support and cushioning and loads of grip. I love this shoe.. I have since bought another pair and also the Speedcross 3 CS which has even more grip. I have been converted to Salomon.. Sorry Inov8. You need to raise your game!

Excellent off road shoe
I'm now on my 8th pair of Salomon Speedcross in six years so think I've worked out what's good and bad about them! I typically run around 100 miles per month in them, almost all off road, anything up to marathon distance.

Good: Light weight; excellent grip in mud or wet grass; top multi terrain shoe; sufficient cushioning to allow you to run two or three miles on tarmac without it feeling too hard; when they do get wet, they dry very quickly.

Not quite so good: Watch out for the grip on wet concrete. The sole on the Speedcross 3 is harder wearing than the Speedcross 2, but this means it can be a little slippery on some harder surfaces

Bad: The only fault that I've found it that they develop holes in the uppper mesh close to where your little toe would be. This is especially the case if mud is allowed to dry on the mesh. Every pair of Speedcross I've owned has failed in the same place and once it goes you need to throw them away! I suggest you make...
