Great Trail Shoe :)
Vivobarefoot were the first brand of minimalist/barefoot running shoes I purchased over two years' ago and I haven't looked back since!

These are my third pair of vivo's and are a brilliant trail shoe. I found them to have no hot-spots over distances up to ten miles and very capable in the British wet and mud! The 'teeth' on the sole of the shoe that provide such great grip are comfortable on tarmac, even in the rain(though I found them a little slippy on very wet uphill road sprints). The shoe is heavier than some of vivo's other models but still light enough to be a great minimalist running shoe and although the teeth grip exceptionally well they do not pick up much mud, leaves, or grass and so you avoid the 'bogged down' effect with similarly designed trail shoes.

Sizing is very important in this variety of running shoes so if you're a first-time buyer make sure your seller has a good returns/exchange policy should you wish to change the size. My advice would...

Great day to day / trail shoes
I will state first that I am a big fan of Vivo shoes, having already bought a pair of their Neo's in the past. The 4mm thick sole provides great ground feel and the zero drop aids good 'barefoot' running form. I prefer to run barefoot but when conditions do not allow the Vivos are great. The toe-box is very wide allowing your toes to move/spread freely. The sole is very grippy in all but the slickest mud. The 'hydrophobic' uppers do not claim to be fully waterproof, but after a weekend of camping and walking through wet grass my feet reminder dry the whole time. My ony gripe is that they are hot due and do not breathe well, but you can't have evrything! All in all a very comfortable and versatile pair of shoes.
