Like Walking On Air
These were just the type of hiking boots I was looking for. I'd spent weeks and weeks looking but to no avail. Then I spotted these on Amazon. "Why didn't you look there sooner?" I hear you cry! "I forgot" is the only answer I can give. Anyway onto how these puppies feel...... as I titled this review, that is how it feels like. Your feet are so cushioned its unbelievable!! So comfortable I'm going on more walks now than I've ever done I my feet are definately not complaining. The ankle support does seem to help strengthen your leg so you don't seem to wobble quite as much when on rough terrain and as expected from a boot of this quality the tread is very substantial thus preventing you slipping even when on the most jagged of rocks. Highly recommended.

wow!
Having been looking for hiking boots for a while now, and being told by numerous people "You have to break them in" i had never found a pair i could wear for more than a few days as they rubbed, But the minute i put these on, my feet loved them. Most comfortable hiking boot ive ever had, very well made and no rubbing whatsoever!! Will be buying another pair so i can alternate them, well worth the money!

High quality walking shoe
Good points:
* Extremely comfortable straight out of the box.
* Well made and with a resilient Vibram sole.
* Lace fixings very robust
* Waterproof
* Quite light weight

Bad points:
* Laces could be a couple of inches longer (nit picking)
* The price (but you get what you pay for)

Summary:
* High quality serious walking shoe that will last years
* More expensive than some but worth it
* Look for occasional discounts

High mileage walker
I have a sore achilles tendon and needed walking shoes with low cut at the heel to minimise contact. So far these fit the bill. Very comfortable from the outset. Vibram soles should last well but only time will tell regarding durability of the uppers.

Offroad slippers!
This review refers to size 9 (continental size 43).

Bought these to replace another pair of Grisports that lasted ages and were very comfortable.

I found these extremely comfortable straight out the box and a perfect fit with a nice thick pair of socks. I expect the Vibram sole to last well (the previous pair did). They are waterproof.

Although not an extreme walking shoe, these are perfectly capable for moderate rambling and rock hopping. The sole is flexible but resilient enough to enable walking on rough ground, rocks or sharp gravel. The uppers are a supple brown leather with a slightly matt finish. With a clean and polish, they are also good enough looking to get away with for casual wear.

Sturdy and comfortable
This is the second pair of these shoes I have owned. The previous pair, which are still going strong, though the soles are finally wearing thin, have lasted me for over 3 years, having been worn most days in all weathers.

The shoes are sturdy and comfortable. The pair I have ordered though Amazon are the same and I look forward to another 3 years of use.

comfy hiking boots
I spend hours tramping the hillsides with my Tibetan Mastiff, therefore a comfortable and waterproof pair of hiking boots is a must. When my old boots disintigrated from over-use at the beginning of the year, a speedy replacement was essential. The Grisport Women's Lady Wolf Hiking boot I chose from Amazon have been comfortable from day one (not easy when you have over 250 breaks in the front half of your foot), and I could not be happier!

Pretty Good in (nearly) Pink
I bought these boots to wear as all-round footwear on an outdoor holiday on the isle of Mull. My old boots (Brashers) are very comfortable but also a bit heavy for summer. I live in the Yorkshire Dales so there is no shortage locally of outdoor gear shops - as long as you want it in varying shades of sludge. Sludge-green, sludge-brown - you name it, they've got it.

Now I'm no fashion victim but don't see why I should have to be dressed head-to-foot in shades of sludge just because I like a walk. Having bought a new waterproof in 'igneous purple' (Well done, North Face) I wanted boots which were light and colourful but preferably didn't scream at the purple. I eventually read the one review on Amazon (thank you) and ordered the boots. They arrived next day and I walked to Settle and back in them - perfect. The first reviewer says it all - they were comfortable from day 1. I wore them in Scotland all the time, and have been really pleased.

And the colour...
