im on my third pair of there so far. Each pair lasting for a good five years before being relegated to work boots. However... it seems to me that this latest pair seems to be made from slightly thinner leather and are of a lighter build than previous.. And the laces are shorter too!! Cutbacks? Still a great boot though.

Good quality boot....
My requirements are not hard core fell walking, but wanted a good heard wearing boot for general country walking and enjoying the stony beach local to home. I did quite a bit of research on Timberland boots, visited the shop several times and eventually bought from Amazon. They feel quite hard out of the box, but were surprisingly comfortable first time out.
Have not used excessively so far, but happy, good boot, good price, good delivery as usual from Amazon.

amazing hikers
I do a lot of walking across country and these boots are ideal. They are a perfect fit, wide enough for my fairly wide feet. Non-leather so ideal for vegans and vegetarians. Totally waterproof. I have worn them in totally waterlogged conditions, through puddles and very muddy areas and I even wear them to work on my allotment.
I didn't need to wear them in at all as they never rubbed my feet. Well worth the money, I am thinking of getting another pair!!!

I hate wearing shoes because none of them fit me properly. I do not wear heels following a repair to my achilles tendon, i can not allow the tendon to shorten. I wear flat sandals as much as possible and even hate wearing trainers. These are the most comfortable boots i have ever worn in my entire 50 odd years of life! From the moment i put them on they were fine. In this icy snow weather I have forgone my hunter wellies in favour of these boots. My feet were as warm as toast wheres the old wellie feet were frozen in spite of the super socks I wear. OK so they may not look very glamorous but my word are they good at their job! I have given them five stars because they are perfect for me but I did have to go up a size from my usual 7 to an 8, which fitted perfectly, so go up a size. The other thing is that they are, are they say, barefoot, so very flat. If you are used to wearing heels and built up trainers you may find them making your legs hurt until you adjust.
