Great entry level shoe
This is my first pair of road bike shoes and I am very pleased with them. I have only used them a couple of times on circa 20 mile runs on fairly flat roads, and they were great. My feet felt well supported and the three straps hold the shoe on very well (better than those I tried on with only 2 straps).

Worth mentioning a couple of things: There is a small hole in the bottom of the shoe between the 1st and 2nd toe to let some air into the shoe to stop your feet over-heating (hole can be seen in the pictures). I have found this to be perfect for the intended purpose, but maybe not everyone will like this feature (by the way, one of my rides was a wet ride and no water at all got into the shoe).

Secondly, I would recommend getting a size larger than you would in normal shoes - I am a size 9 (wide), and found a 10 to be spot-on.

Good shoe. I would happily recommend.

Good-solid entry level shoes, comfortable and well built
You may want to duct tape the hole at the front of the outsole during early spring and late autum or your feet will go cold numb on mid/long rides. Other than that good-solid entry level shoes, comfortable and well built. Pedal safe!

Comfortable, and stylish!
I've always found skate shoes such as these very comfortable to wear. They're nice and warm during the winter (provided you don't step into any deep puddles). They're also rather stylish without being too in your face. I quite like the different colours used in different parts of the shoe, pink laces, blue graphics, purple sole and green interior.
The only one complaint I would have is that the laces feel a little too short if you lace them up all the way to the top. They're still tie-able though. I usually hate paying too much for shoes, but I find DC shoes last me for years, and are always a good investment.

No cons. My 13 year old loves these shoes, she won't share them :D. Nice color combination, very comfortable. Good quality.

I will never wear anything else!

strange at first
Saw these at a greatly reduced price and thought, why not? I'd tried them on in a nearby shop and couldn't see the point frankly, however once on at home and walking up hill to the shops, my god what a difference! Makes your legs feel like they are walking up hill all day so your calves ache! The strange thing is walking on an inclined slope to the left or the right when you are walking across it as you really need to concentrate otherwise you will twist your ancle. However once you get used to them it does feel like you are striding along. They have good treds so you will feel confident in the wet and slippy surfaces. Whether they actually make a difference remains to be seen, but they are different!!

Very comfortable Shape Up.
I have never tried these trainers before and was quite surprised when I received them at the weight of them. I wont be weighing myself wearing them that's for sure! However, after trying them on I was pleasantly surprised that they did not feel heavy to wear and find them extremely comfortable. They took a little bit of getting used to with regards to your balance when first wearing them. Now, I wear them all the time and find them especially brilliant when using the treadmill as I am pretty flat footed so the rocking motion of the trainers is ideal for me and usually make me feel that I have had a good workout after. The only thing I would say is if you can try them on first then do so as they come up quite large so you may need a size smaller than usually worn.

Superb Asics trainers
I had my previous pair of Asics for 5 years (yes, I know too long) and they were the best pair of running shoes I had ever had. I decided to buy another pair of Asics Gel trainers, Gel Bacuri, and got it completely wrong. I went running in them twice and couldn't bare to run in them anymore. I thought that all Asics Gel trainers would be similar but my previous pair were constructed differently, a more expensive pair than the Gel Bacuri. I emailed Asics, had a response with a couple of hour, to ask which ones replaced my previous pair and they told me it was these ones - Gel Pulse 4.

What a superb pair of trainers the Gel Pulse 4 are. Cushioning right throughout the sole (front and back), support down through the centre without losing great flexability. Very light, breathable and very comfortable. Removable cushioned sock liner in the shoe too which adds to the comfort. I would have no hesitation in recommending these.
