Fantastic running shoes great for mid to mild over pronators
This is my second pair of Asics.
My first came after I developed knee trouble 8 weeks short of my first half marathon. Following research I found poor trainer choice and worn out trainers can contribute to injuries. So following a visit to a sports shop I got a pair or 2160 and the difference to my old Adidas was incredible.
The GT 2170 are classed as a support shoe, meaning that they help to counteract mild to moderate over pronation. They also have cushioning on both heel and ball of the foot to help reduce geel strike and push off impact.
One difference I can feel between the 2170 and 2160 is the inner sole of the trainer, the 2170 has a memory foam inner sole which at first felt very strange, but as my first run progressed the level of comfort increased and then surpassed the 2160 which I thought was fantastic to begin with.
Overal I'm very happy with these trainers and can see me sticking with the GT range for some time to come

My last asics were 2130s and I found I needed a half size larger with the 2170s. Have used these models for 10 years and still for me the 2170 is a great running shoe.
